LOCAL RESIDENT INFORMATION

Seahaven Pride is due to take place on the 24th August 2024 - 11.00-21.00. As last year, this is set to be a lively but well managed event.  We wanted to write to you and let you know of our activities and give you the contact details should there be any issues. 

Build & Break of the Festival: 

The build of the festival will commence on Friday 23rd August 2024. The event infrastructure will be built within a secure fence line.  The de-rig of the festival will conclude on Sunday 25th August 2024. 

Noise Management: 

Measures have been formulated to minimise noise disturbance for residents. We have appointed an industry-leading sound management team and sound technicians to work with us to ensure the agreed sound levels are adhered to, both within the site and at agreed points adjacent to residential properties. In the event of a noise complaint, please contact us on 07821162012. We will monitor the sound levels and liaise with our technicians to minimise any issue. If noise levels are above those specified in the license conditions, immediate action will be taken to reduce the levels at the noise source. There is a strict curfew on the main stage of 21:00 hours. This is enforced with the assistance of a time coded fail safe on the sound desk of the stage. 

Traffic Management: 

We aim to minimise the disturbance and inconvenience from people going to and from Martello Fields attending the festival and have set out a robust plan to police this interaction. This plan includes an advised and signed route from the railway station to the event site and the organisers will provide support to the attendees to and from the site. Crowds leaving the event will be to ensure the shortest route is taken to their chosen transport hub. We will also instruct attendees to leave in a quiet and orderly manner mindful of residents.

Security and Policing: 

Ingress: (when attendees travel to the event) - A deployment of stewards will be positioned all along the designated route from the station to the event site. Concerns can be reported to the production management team on 07821162012. 

Egress: (when attendees leave at the end of the event)- Those responsible for checking bags on the ingress period will be redeployed to ensure attendees leave in a quiet manner. It is anticipated that some attendees will leave earlier in the day. Our security teams will prioritise ensuring these persons are dispersed along the designated routes and to transport hubs. 

In Event:  Inside the arena security will be on position at every emergency exit, every stage area, and at key bar locations. Exterior patrol teams will monitor the exterior fence line to prevent unauthorised access, and direct attendees to the relevant entry gates. In addition, security will be deployed at fixed positions to protect vulnerable assets. The community police will also be in attendance. The road between the Martello Field and Pump field will be closed for the event. 

Refuse and Waste Management: 

We respect and adhere to the single use plastic free policy and do not permit the use of it by any trader or customer. A reusable cup scheme is in operation at the bars and all our food traders will be using sustainable containers. We have a strict “leave no trace” policy and intend on returning Martello Fields to public promptly and free of waste or damage. No food and drink are permitted to enter or leave the event. Toilet Provision: 

Dedicated toilets will be located within the event site. Persons caught not using them will be removed from the event and reported to the police. Security and stewards will be briefed to adopt a zero-tolerance approach to those not using the facilities provided in or around the event site.
